Nice job!
How's the ice they all ask? "I’ll tell you what, you can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a bull’s butt, but I’d rather take the butcher’s word for it."

Its the best, I'm surprised more folks don't do it. Action is usually pretty good, I always have the whole place to myself plus the kids and wife are asleep so no one is bugging me to rush home.

I Useto, and it was fun as hell.

Then I realized it really boiled down to because my wife and my babies were sleeping and I wasn’t missing anything and didn’t have responsibilities besides sleeping enough to function for work the next day and I dont need much. Now my kids are in high school and everyone’s aging and I just go in the day when I want and it’s def better lol. The dark I learned was sweet out of convienence but in my opinion that’s all it was looking back now. Hindsight for me anyway. If you wonder why I don’t do the nighttime crappie posts anymore

Cusk is something I’m after. I just need to get dialed in, haven’t had much luck. Sunapee is my usual haunt but Im pretty sure the name is Algonquin for “no fish” jk jk. I’ve got a buddy with a place on Sebago, we keep talking about making the trip but haven't made it happen yet. This year looks like it may be a wash, thinking I might just take the boat out at this point.

I am a single dad of 2 kiddos.  I use to do this when my ex lived with me.  It was a good deal because I can run on little sleep.  Down here I can use green lights, and agree, I generally do well.  We had a night last year my jackers were popping all night.  I have clip on glow sticks for the rod tips.  Quite the scene.  I know why more people dont do it, its nignt and people are literally afraid of the dark.  I use to watch idiots all night striper fishing with headlamps on blast because they were scared af.  I get spooked once in a while but I like that.

Frank I have a night venue that would cause you to need to change your pants.  Big holdover browns of the seaforellen varity.  Untouched at night and very active.  I get rainbows too but they are the lessor of the trouts in my opinion.

Modified FX100 & Buddy Jr heater?

I bet you could flash freeze those fish by tossing them outside the flipover for a minute on Saturday.   ::)

Nice fish!   ;D

Maybe change from a DNA deposit out of excitement but never from soiling.

Not much bothers you after you haveto wait 2 hours after dark in the big woods to climb down because 5 bears are trying to tear a 55 gallon drum off a tree and mumma has cubs.

I think the only thing I wouldn’t do fishing is those fruitcakes that go full wet suit drifting in the ocean with an eel bay on their hip, now that, I’m all set.

Seaflorren strain sounds nice. I’m gonna venture to guess that same waterbody is in my home state as well.

No down south.  I did the "skishing" thing briefly before finding the canal.  Couple guys I knew were into it, and surfcasting.  I think Joe knows them too.  They were really just chasing the fad.  One built a website on the topic that died.  They didnt have the staying power or personality that Paul Melnyck does.  He takes credit for it but there were some montauk guys doing it way before him and doing it well.  The good ole days.  Then I got a boat and it took me 1 trip to get a 50 compared to a decade to land one from shore...
