The Hills are holding.
« on: Mar 18, 2021, 01:16 PM »
15" in the western hills and possibly a tad more on a couple certain ponds . Got the big skunk on Tuesday but a real nice sunrise.  Running all big goldies looking for the biggies. Wednesday was a little better action though. Different pond nearby with same 15" of ice. Managed 4 decent pickerel a small bass and plenty pan fish on the jig rod . One surprise catch on a lg shiner (goldies on 4 tip ups)  big hooks and 30# fluorocarbon leader.
My first brown through the ice 👍. This could be my last weekend on the ice.  Next week's weather is an ice killer for sure!

Being on ice is nice but the tug is the drug.

I'm also heading back to the hills Saturday and Sunday.  We shall see from that point on. Warm weekend and warmer week coming. The big boned lady is warming up her singing voice lol.
