Bridges Pond
« on: Mar 06, 2021, 04:33 PM »
I fished Bridges Pond in Williamstown today from about 10 AM to 2 PM.

It started out sunny/blue skies, but gradually clouded over.  Temps were around 20 degrees, and breezy.

There was about 10 inches of skating rink smooth ice.

Around 10:30 AM, I had a flag, but whatever it was seemed rather lacksadaisical, and got away (with my shiner) when I tried to set the hook.

A little before 11 AM, I jigged up my first (of 15) sunfish for the day.

About 11 AM, I was joined by a father and his pre-teen son, but they only stuck around for an hour or so, and then decided to try somewhere else  - - for which I suggested Fish Pond in North Adams - - since they weren't getting any flags.

Finally, a little before 2 PM, I had another flag (on the same tip up).  The line was running, and I ended up hauling in a 14" bass.

A few minutes later, I caught one last sunfish, and decided to call it quits early.

Nope, as far as I know, there's just sunfish, perch and bass in there.

As for your other point, I agree, even slower days can be enjoyable.  Thanks for your reply!
