I have heard all kinds of things that point to a harsh winter from bees burying underground and wasps building their nests on the tippy top of the trees, the birds left sooner than normal and pine trees full of cones. This all looks promising and I hope it is all true, then they predict a mild El Nino, which just appeared in the last month and this usually points towards a warmer than normal winter for the Northeast.
We will just have to wait and see what mother nature throws at us this year. It couldn't get much worse than last year.
