Report form yesterday, Browning pond safe but slow, Sargent pond was good on Saturday. Guys went out on Rochdale pond and reported lots of perch.

I see my man JS is an ice shanty rookie like me. Porter have you tried Rocky pond on boylston?

Want to mention that JS was a big help for the go fish derby.

JS and Porter, you going this weekend? I have to be out at Klem's for the fishing rep day on Saturday from 10-3

Going up to Canada for the next few days, they tell me the ice is safe:)

I was at Browning yesterday, so cold that the river was starting to skim over. It was so cold that I felt sorry for the shiners when I took them out of the bait bucket. It was so cold that when I tried to lubricate my knots with saliva it froze before I could tighten them - means more ice  ;D

Where were you fishing on Browning?  We were way in the back by the Boy Scout Camp.  Had one flag...  fish on...  and lost it.  Any luck where you were?   Browning should have enough ice for atleast another month.

I went with my sons, 10 and 6 so I didn't want to go too far, we made some holes on the left side of the boat ramp in about 4-5' of water, no flags but my 6 yr pld got a bite jigging a shiner, he was so excited that he just pulled as hard as he could and lost the fish so it was worth it. Last week I was there a local told me that Browning has a lot of radiational cooling so there is good ice BUT it goes fast because of the springs, there are a few towards the back and one just off a point near the houses as I recall so do be carefull late season. I was just thinking to get the boat into Quinsig early spring to avoid late ice and early pleasure boaters.

Fort Pond has a lot of open water and the wind must have raised hell with it today. Fished Comet, wind howled hard, quit after 6 hours of pounding, shaky in spots but solid where good.
I work all year for this ! PAID TO ICEFISH, GOD BLESS AMERICA !

???QUABOAG ICE?///////// ??? ???

Quaboag is safe in the back.  The front by the boat ramp has been making ice since last sunday, so it should be walkable.

it should be packed on Saturday.... I know I'll be there hopefully pullin up that monster pike I've been searchin for.
