Everybody seems to always be looking for a good deal has anyone found anything yet

I found a good deal of ice on the local lakes- at least 5 inches. Oh yeah, I'm in Alaska. I grew up in Stevens Point but now call Alaska home. I like to check out things in the old stompin' grounds. As for good deals... a friend of mine moved out of state last summer and gave me two Ugly Stik ice rods with reels that he never used. I occasionally find good deals at garage sales during the spring and summer. It's amazing how many people move up here and end up leaving after only a couple of years. They have a moving sale and things go cheap! I've been here now for about 10 years. We were in Wisconsin a couple of weeks ago when my brother got married and I stumbled across a 40 acre plot that was beautiful enough to tempt me to move back... but I decided against it. Perhaps in a couple of years we'll return, but there is too much hunting and fishing left to do up here.
