Whatever the eyes are biting, key for me is to be flexible and change til a pattern is established.  Glow red is usually my go to color followed by glow perch

They set some records and, they are still available.

Oops, sorry, shhhhh.     ;)2

Thought about ordering a few of those! Are they doing any good, because at the price they want for them a small loan might he required to replace if lost, not to mention a few choice words!

Maybe we'll soon know how they're doing, as Kamooki is having a few ?contest/promotions? in some of the northern states that manage walleye.

I'll have a 'lure retriever' along and just hope for no hang-ups.     ;)2

Sebile spin shad.

These are great too. Retailed at $15.  That price killed the lure.  That and they only came in two sizes.  3/4 oz and 1 1/2 oz.  Most rods can't cast a 1 1/2 oz lure.

Had a couple guys ask about hangups on the SmartFish by pm, so I figured I'd track down the thread and reply.

No lure is snagproof, but the only one I've lost so far was on a piece of underwater cable.  The YouTube video below has a couple of shots of how the lure moves, and how that zinc keel keeps the tailhook high when you're jigging or popping it around rocks.  First sequence, at the 6 second mark, shows you why.  I wouldn't fish it directly down onto thick timber, but I wouldn't fish ANYTHING with an exposed hook directly down on timber.  Key is this:  If you're going to fish any blade bait or lipless rattling crankbait on or near bottom, with that zinc keel, the balance of the lure, and no belly hook, the SmartFish will hang up far less often than most anything else on the market.  This is one of the safest body baits to fish on or near bottom.

I haven't caught a Million of them, but a lot  ;),  here is pic of one a real fatty from about 8 days ago, caught on a Pink/White Flutterfish... she weighted right on 12 lbs.  BTW  I have NO association with PK spoons other than a loyal user of their Fine lures!  I use what catch fish... ;D   But if they want to give me a toque with PK on it Ill wear it!!

The one I entered in the IS contest I caught on my favorite a blue PK Panic!  But the little PK predator is my go to for smaller eyes for dinner..:) or big perch...
Here is a pic of my buddy Fred first time ice fishing in 40 years with a nice long one with the Gold PK spoon in the background  he caught this on..

Here is pic on one caught also 9 days ago on a blue Panic...Yeah thats my Lucky Toque!

Ok as long as Im doing this if you like walleye you like perch...Yellow and white PK Predator  also caught limit of eater walleyes that day two weeks ago..
