Seems like every fisherman out there like to make some of their own lures and some make them cause they are local favorates that aren't made commercially. Lets see what you like to make to fish with

I make my own jigging spoons for bigger fish - I like Rapala X-Rap colors - specifically clown color and purple ghost. I also come up with my own color combinations...

I also make a "swimming" version

Have u had any luck with them?

i make my own jigs using a jig hook and taking a small lead splitshot, splitting it wider with a knife[ so that the jighook fits in the crack better] and then use pliers to crimp the shot onto the hook. i make the size that i use and the cost per jig is under 5 cents. i paint them once in awhile using powder paint but when using tube jigs the head goes inside the tube anyways. hey it works for me.

I use spinning reels and conventional reels - not sure what you're asking ???

I've had some luck with them - mostly used them so far in open water. Caught a nice 19 inch smallmouth with one earlier this year (in Colorado, that's big for a smallmouth - 23 inches is the state record).
