Trailer Jacks
« on: Jan 12, 2011, 07:24 AM »
I built my shack on an old popup camper. The trailer jack on the tongue is junk. I need a new one. Anyone know how much they run? Or a decent inexpensive one?

yup, tractor supply, walmart, any rv, marine/boating store will all have them and for a pop-up u can get the cheaper ones.

i actually bought a popup a few seasons ago to turn into a shanty but still haven't gotten around to building one - i'd be very interested to see your design if u wouldnt mind posting or PM'ing me some pics/specs!

I've bought a old popup and I am thinking about making a snowmoblie trailor out of it that would double for a ice shanty. I could pull my sled to the lake then hook it up to the sled and pull it out on the lake. I was thinking about fold down runners for the trip on the lake. ;)

I just bought 3 from Harbor Freight that are side crank with the flat plate for on the ground.  Very good quality and stout...i think they were $35.

Otherwise any local store like fleetfarm, gander mountain, etc will have them.
