Wind and ice

It has been a disappointing week seeing great temperatures for ice to grow on Bomoseen and yet no ice. I think the issue rests with the waves and wind.  Looking at the forecast for wind this week it either locks up tonight or I don't know when.

Can lakes lock up in windy conditions?


Also I have never fished the north end of the lake. Where are good places to park and gain access to the lake?
