well guys things are lookin up woke up this mornin and the pond was half froze over so the water temp is there just gotta get past this little warm spell comin at us and then it wont take much to start lockin things up

Hate to say ot but there is about a 25% chance of fishable ice this yr........If you pay attention to weather.com they are perdicting above average temps for the next 3 months due to a very strong el nino pattern.

I use weather.com as well and only thing I can come up with is that he must be getting the 2 from the 62 on Wednesday and getting the 5 from the 51 on Saturday

You guys are killing me lol!! True we will not have a season like the last two but give it a little time before you count the old man out. I am confident that we will have a month of fishabke ice come Feb. 1 for those that don't push the extremes.(myself not included).

Agreed crappieslayer37! We all had too much fun last year, and now we are all too anxious to get out! Myself included.

I'm confident we'll have ice, it'll just be a shorty season starting later than last year.

I normally would be stoked on the rain and temps for steelhead. I have trouble making the 4 hr round trip with the new baby. It there was ice I could be out within 15 minutes fishing and back home before they noticed me gone. I might have to play hook from work real soon!
