Hit the ice about 8 AM with slabgill and Blueultra2. Fished an area on a tip from a buddy. Thanks, you know who you are and I owe you one. Fish bit well the first hour with constant up and down action then the bite slowly tapered down where you have to work for them. Slabgill and I ended with 45 gills and crappies (he caught all the crappies) and Blue had another dozen or more. Left at 11:30 at the bite had all but disappeared. Blue had one flag and Blue made it count with a keeper pike. Here are some pics of the crappie and some nice gills. Had several gills at 9" and slightly larger, but the look small by the 12 and 13 crappies.

I did some filming with the gopro too, so I will have to see how that turned out. I know I got alot of film of me missing bites!!!

Pretty good day...Quality was good.I love pulling Crappies out of my ice hole...

Great size fish guys. Gonna have some spicy gill fillets during the game ,,myself...
You guys are gonna have to do a 15 minute fishing show every week. When you get the filming/editing thing down...Kind of like John G's..except you don't have to tell everyone where you catch them at...lol..and you don't have to yell quit as much..but you can still drink cheap beer.

Nice fish! Better quality than I got today. Went North of the border and came home with 25 but they were mostly 7's and 8's with a few that were 9 or a little better. I will post pics later. Good job wax and crew!! Did Blueultra's son get that pike? I see that he has been wanting one.

It was nice to get on some quality fish after spending the last two days in Dinkville. This is what I ended up taking home...

My son isn't much of a morning person so he missed out on a chance for that pike. When I got home I told him about it and with a smile he said "Great job Dad!" Here's a picture of the pike on the ice. I don't mean to gross anyone out but I like to see what they have been feeding on and this one had about an 8" bass in his stomach!

just started the tip up game and pike fishing last year. I am used to just fishing exclusively for panfish. didn't catch any huge ones bunch of smaller ones in MI a few LP lakes near houghton, although had one prob close to 7 lbs bite on my crappie pole and that only served to p him off lol. 6 lb test small gold hook no leader didn't even slow him down much, was able to see him on cammie tho. was a good show!
