I hit 550 tonight on the miss, did alright.Ice is going fast but i think we should get a few more days if lake does'nt go up.Where you at? slocum or red bridge or 550. I hit the salamonie at prirates cove over weekend and did real well. Caught my biggest of the winter,14 1/2ins. Looks like it maybe done according to the lake level report. It went up 1 1/2 since sunday.

I was at Salamonie Mon. mid am till dark.  Good ones at first but slowed down with spurts, lots of lookers.  Went back early Tues. am till noon.  Very slow and dinks.  Everyone was moving or leaving.  Shore line was getting a lot of water on it.  Ice is still good at 10" if you can get one it.
Went to Simpson Pond in the PM.  Got a few but the ice is getting real bad.  Got on with one problem but when we left 4 hrs later the ice was weaving us good by as we walked off it.  The first water way by the parking lot was almost to the top of our boots when we left.  It was ok when waded Thur it going out.  Headed north today.

NICE MESS!!!!!!!!!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
