Ardisam Inc. (Eskimo/Ion) buys out Jiffy Ice Augers

This will blow some peoples minds but go take a look at Jiffys website at the very bottom. Ardisdam also has Jiffy logo listed on their homepage. Things are going to get intresting!

They're announcing 30+ new products tomorrow and already teased at an electric auger. I wonder how much of the new Eskimo stuff will be rebranded Jiffy gear.

Cant imagine that Eskimo would have much rebranding to do ...only product I recall from Jiffy to be remotely useful was the scout drill for test hole/thickness. Jiffy came late to the electric auger game ..Hard to beat the IONs performance and following ...painting it in Eskimo red would be a much better end game.

Looks like Ardisam acquired other brands/companies as well maybe all were connected ...a buyer take all scenario is aa possibility .

Doesn't look to be anything close to a Jiffy configuration ...my best guess its a cousin of the ION auger...similar in design and specs ...why reinvent the wheel

Its definitely interesting Addison would compete against itself in a way.  I was hoping the Eskimo electric would have the quantum blades instead of shavers. Id would gladly give up speed and some battery life for dirty or sandy ice.

You are right, Hardwater. The Ion Alphas had the turbo blades last year. The angle of the blades is a alot more aggressive compared to the Pistol Bit. The new E-40 auger looks very similar to the Ion, but with a few slight changes to the head. It also shed a couple of pounds with this new design as the Ion Alpha plus was 15.9 lbs. and the new Eskimo E-40 composite listed at 13.5 lbs.
