You've been fishing lately??? Is there a glacier lake I don't know about? The lake I live on has about 50ft of open water because that rain we had.

hey quick question? i am trying to print the tourney card for this year and i cant get a full page of the card when i hit the print icon at the top right of the post. i can print the page that i am veiwing from the post on ice shanty web site but it comes out small. like maybe 3 x 5 small. when i hit the print icon it brings me to bing and a bunch of results that are not the card. help please i dont know if i should blow it up or just go with it. i dont want to miss out if i get a nice size fish. thanks

I copy and pasted the card into a word document. From there you can make it as big or small as you'd like.

packing tape works well! Lay the paper flat and tape over it. Flip it over and repeat. Trim off excess

Congrats to saxmatt for the first entry! I had a 9 and a half inch gill I caught yesterday but forgot to get a picture of me holding it before she got cut up. Oh well!

Likewise. I'd have a few "trophy board" entries on the main tourney in 2 different species if it would have started two weeks ago!

Maybe we can do a season long tourney next year with the tourney starting in November. I've had the best luck first ice especially for pike. 5 or 6 years ago I got a 41" pike on Thanksgiving, got out on November 23rd that year.

I just finished checking the entries and updating the leaders board. I'm doing my best to not DQ any pictures.

When taking the pictures bend over, squat down, etc.. get closer to the fish .. especially when it's a sunny or crappie. When enlarging the pictures to get accurate measurements everything gets distorted the more I have to enlarge. Obviously on a large fish you can only get so close but even in that case get as close as possible.

Thanks for the tips Doug. I noticed that on black ice the tail fin tends to blend into the background. I think the next time I'm going to scuff up the ice a bit before I take the picture of the fish.

How does the short cat. work? Does it just qualify you for the drawing?

In the main tournament if your entry doesn't challenge the leaders board you post it in the short area. By posting in the short area you are in the weekly drawings.
I put a short area under the NJ tournament so you could still post your fish pictures.

By the way I apologize for updating the leaders board so late. Been busy with the snow storms, shoveling, working on the snow blower and now an ice damn.
