I texted him bout an hour ago and nothing yet but I planned on taking my own vehicle cause I have to come back Friday night I think he's staying the 4 nights

Just came home from Rockwood this AM / stay in bed - fish aren't biting till after noon / 12-16 inches of ice- keep away from the ridges especially when it warms up

They have awesome bait. I was up there almost a month ago and loaded up on smelt. They're still kicking. Great shop. No bakers dozen but they know how to handle bait

If you get the chance, please post an update on ice conditions (thickness) and how the edges of the lake are holding up. We are heading up on Saturday and the forecast is calling for warm days and nights for quite a while. Thanks, good luck!

The weatherman on Channel 5 said that the ice was not safe and anyone would be crazy to go out. What does he know, he hasn't hardly been right on the weather most of the winter. I did see an open spot between Rockwood and Kineo.

I left last night and as of then we caught a lot of fish but small ones a few 18-22in Lakers lots of short salmon and brookies
