Boss called out sick today so I got to fish for a few hours on Big Alum. Ice was doing well about 8" with a few inches of slushy snow on top. I cought this little trout and was wondering your thoughts on the species. It was very pick in color . I'm thinking brookie rainbow hybrid?

Brook trout, caught a few of them last year spring/summer fishing. Seems like they are doing well in Big Alum which is nice to see.

Thanks everyone. I had not seen one of the stocked brookie and always thought they had bright colors not the muted pink color I saw today. He was about 11" long so I first thought he was a small rainbow.
