It was nice to get out and ice fish with everyone last w/e.  Couldn't catch a crappie if my life depended on it though, haha.
Thanks Shawn!

Looks like you had some fun. As for the bass, if you are eating them and following the limits, then do your thing. I dont eat bass so I dont keep bass. But they have catch limits for a reason in order to maintain fish populations. If people are concerned about fish populations, have a chat with local biologists that work with those bodies of water.
It doesn't sound that appealing to most people I talk to, but going out onto a frozen lake and staring into a hole for the day is my favorite thing to do.

people don't understand that keeping small mass (legal size) actually helps the fishery as a whole as far as growing and maintaining more bigger fish.

Bass this time of year are delicious. Just as good as perch. If you dont take out some small ones you will have too much competition and all the bass will be 1.5 lbers.

yeah no sense of wasting them.  and even if one dies from a deep hooking or something and no body wants to eat it, pop the air bladder and send it into the water...keep it in the water ecosystem, don't feed the birds or raccoons haha
