Hey Guys,

I had to send my Marcum into The Video Re-fit Shop PGT Electronics for repairs.    My unit arrived there on Tuesday Nov 21st at the end of the day, was repaired and sent back out in the mail too me Thursday November 23rd.  I cant say enough good about the service from these guys.  They provided more than one up-date throughout the few days they had my LX-9 and repaired very quickly!!!

Finally we don't need to send out units directly to MARCUM from Canada.

$445 for repair and shipping.  I couldn't get the screen to fire this fall, I suspect I shorted it out maybe trying?  No idea......   They replaced the entire electronics board on it... I haven't been easy on the unit that for sure.  It's been through several rough 2 hour snowmobile rides in -35 on rough terrain.  It worked at end of the season, so I'm not sure what happened over the off season.  Anyways it should be here soon and back in action.

doesn't seem fair tho. the states has a flat rate of 125$ us. why should it be different for canada. they should have a flat rate for there too. doesn't make any sense to me.

it seems like alot but when its all said and done and the smoke clears the return on the dollar from the flat rate and shipping and whatever hidden charge that might pop up the difference is maybe $75-100  plus the time in transit that like anything else coming up from the U.S. takes a couple weeks. less time in delivery means less time handled and moved around possibly preventing more damage.
