Does anyone know how to save settings on a 597 set up for ice fishing? I have the ice ducer and battery/bag. But every time I shut the unit off (holding down the power button) it resets to the previous settings. It's getting to be a pain as unless I leave it running when I move I have to go through and change my settings, although I am getting good at remembering my settings for ice fishing.
I use it in my boat as a GPS only. I am going to look into updates to see if that has anything to do with it.
