Has anyone tried the Norcross Hawkeye f33p portable fish finder for ice fishing? I have the chance to get one for free and was wondering if anyone had experience with them through the ice. The website says they work well for ice fishing. I'm thinking at minimum it might be good for finding depth of water. I'm not expecting much out of a cheap unit like this. I would never buy one but if one comes my way for free, I figure why not give it a try. Right now I have no electronics so I'm hoping it is at least better than nothing.
