Met up with a few of the boys on front range ice, and got a nice 19" fatty tonight, right at sundown. Lots of lookers, but only one taker.
It's very nice having fishable ice on the front range!

Good shiet bro!!!!

I was out this morning along with a zoo but it was fun! Iced five eyes....no keepers. Jawjacker missed a ton. Pretty annoying. Got on the ice at 7:00 am...off at 9:30 am.

Yeah, thanks for the pic! The sunglasses were an unexpected catch…that’s not usually what is meant by “fishing for eyes”! Fishing for eyewear, I guess.

Shad boils galore but got one to finally commit to a jigging rap this morning. The rest came on minnows again. Total of 9 between my bro and I -- from cigar size to an 18.25"! Say what? All went back though!

Plain jig head in the jaw and my bro went plain hook with a split shot. Both presentations produced.

I tried rippin rap, forage minnow, buckshot, slender spoon.... nada.

I got this fatty on an XPS lazer blade. I was on the bottom, and it came in about two feet up. Then it went down and hit the blade on the bottom.

Funny coz I stared at my blades for about 5 seconds.... and I said nah. Lol

I’m a little worried about local ice with this rain today, followed by a nice coating of death snow…everyone be careful out there!

I love fishing tipups. Back in MA you can have 5 lines, so back in the day I’d set up 4 tipups and have one hole for jigging. Still fun setting up one tipup and waiting for a flag!
