I bet there was a little perch lookin at it, and the bass saw the perch of gill. When he went to eat the fish, he caught your jig in the lip. I dont think that fish would be chasin around a little jig like that. Just my two cents.

I'm sure that bass new exactly what he was eating. I catch 30 inch plus northerns on little tear drops all the time with just waxies for bait. It makes for exciting panfish fishing.

Thats HT's #14 marmooska. One of my go to jigs when gills get tight lipped, Bass love them to.

Pretty cool Scott, looks like a HT jig?
