I don't know about their fillet knives but I do like their hunting knives. I use mostly ka-bar hunting knives and the cutco fishermans solution fillet knife. That's where I work ;)

I owned a Buck Fillet knife years ago and the blade broke inside the rubber handle. I sent it in to them and they replaced it no questions asked. It wasn't the knife's fault I was just putting too much into it. Buck makes a good knife for the money.

I have a folding buck fillet knife, it's pretty good. Not the greatest, but I like that it folds for tacklebox and boat glovebox storage. Cutco fillet knives are great, that's what I use most.

BEFORE YOU BUY CHECK OUT BROWNING BR909 OR BR906 FILLET KNIVES.  THEY HAVE A SERRATED SECTION NEAR THE HANDLE THAT IS GREAT FOR CUTTING THROUGH LARGE FISH RIB BONES.  USED TO ALWAYS USE AN ELECTRIC FOR LARGE FISH UNTIL I FOUND THIS KNIFE! GOOD FISHIN' - OH

I have the buck fillet knife and like it the only thing I wish was different is the blade is to stiff for me. When cutting into a small brook trout it is easier if the blade bends more.
