i have used them on occasion for bass with good results,but never pike. ill bet they would work good because they eat EVERYTHING... LOL

I bet the big ones would work really good. As billditrite said they eat everything so i dont thin kthere would be an issue with a pike not going for a crayfish.

... so it would stand to reason...

if you're going for REALLY big pike...

try throwing a 1 1/2 lb. lobster on the end of a 40 lb. leader with a 7/0 trebble hook....

Remember to hold tight... and set the hook..

don't forget.......pike's typical prey is = to half their size.   ;)

IE: the 18 pounder we got last year was on the biggest sucker Dag's has in his tank

 I have caught pike on crawfish at sabattus while open water fishing, but i've never tried it through the ice. i can't imagine why it wouldn't work.
