Was told there is a major firmware issue, they won't ship until sorted out. Hit 8 major stores in Minnesota/North Dakota three weeks ago, not one on the shelf.

For that $$$$$ I'd opt for a high end Humminbird or Lowrance with GPS, get the carry pack and ice ducer, and with the money left over get a nice shelter and auger and heater and a couple rods....... You get the picture.  You will also have a unit that can be used on your boat. Been a Bird guy for quite a while. Nothing wrong with Lowrance. Had a Green Box way back when. Seems lately they are one step behind and a bit more pricey. JMHO.

They won't release it. Can't get the firmware right. No way they wouldn't have it out for the Christmas rush if there wasn't a major issue.

They have lost there minds !! I like Marcum but I wouldn't spend the $600 they want for the LX6 let alone the $1800 for that thing. As mentioned, Marcum needs to get their act together on the LX6 through 9 systems, they have had plenty of time to get bugs worked out that are still rearing their ugly heads.
