I recently used a Eskimo shelter up in NoDak and it would not stay upright in the wind (35-40 mph gusts) regardless of how many guide lines and anchors I used.  Then what ended the day was a pole snapping and hitting me in the back.  Not sure if it was the extreme cold or the wind or both.  If you plan on crappy weather fishing I would suggest against it.

Thanks 4 all the helpful input guys. Now im pretty sure im getting one just waiting on after season clearance sales since it is late this season anyways

Supplies are pretty thin if buying locally so I wouldn't wait too long. The cold weather stripped the supply around here. If you are going online, all bets are off.

Anyone recommend a shanty or something similar to acomodate me my wife and daughter without breaking the bank?
