Finding White Perch
« on: Jan 07, 2011, 01:35 PM »
Caught a big white perch right off the bat this am weighting nearly two lbs... but it was the only only fish caught.

We are fishing a relatively small lake with a couple baiys and haven't found much water over ten feet any where.  We know there is good numbers of white perch and yellow perch around but are new at fishing for them thru the ice.

Any tips on time of day, locations to look for and even baits would be appreciated.

generally they will be in the deepest part of the lake, but not always. best times are right at sunup and right at sundown

Could you post a pic of a white perch. I don't think I have ever seen one.
Take a kid fishing, they make great pack mules.
Put the big ones back for another day eat the small ones.
