 Erie, Thanks for the laugh.
i've had perch eggs (also from rock bass, years ago many guys after rocky's raved about the eggs also) all sorts of ways, even done by professional chefs, theyr'e ok, and some guys just love them. i kept experimenting with them and found the best way that i prefer them.....make patties from them: mix bread crumbs, favorite seasoning an egg, mix up then bread them again on outside, either deep fry or fry in pan, even took to work and guys that don't normally like that sort of stuff liked them. try it.

there is a couple threads on here about perch eggs.
they're good.
i suppose they must be loaded with protein, probably other good nutrients as well
grandpa told me-"never wrestle with a pig. you both get muddy and the pig likes it".

haha I'm a commercial fish cleaner and I see guys eat salmon and trout eggs all the time I guess being at the bloody end of it all. I could never and still will never bring my self to trying any sort of eggs I'll leave them all to you guys. Matter of a fact if I knew ya I would give them all to you. It sure will save my the weight of getting rid of them. P.S. I really hope you guys process them before you eat them probably with a lot of salt.

I remember the first time I tried perch eggs.  I was still in college, and we had been on a good perch bite for a few weeks.  Someone mentioned that the eggs are edible, so we tried to cook them.  The acrid smell of the eggs cooking stunk up the house for a week and pi$$ed the roomates off to no end.  Besides that, the eggs tasted nasty.  We all figured someone played a practical joke on us.  Did I mention it was the last time I cooked up perch eggs?

My wife and I experiment with them all the time. Lately she has been hard boiling them individually. Takes a little bit of time, but it's well worth it.

Tiny little hard boiled eggs, spread over some stale bread on the ice and you're golden.

Scumbags - throw the eggs out!!!

scumbags???
that seems a bit harsh.
i think people who don't like their peas touching their carrots on their plate are a bit eccentric,
but i wouldn't call them names.
live and let live.
i like perch eggs!!

Whole sacs lightly breaded and deep fried. YUM  I've been turning people on to them for years.  I like the smaller ones from early ice the best.

What a bunch of wimps!
I like perch eggs after about 8 Molson Canadians and 2 Crown royals.
They're great with a drop of hot sauce on them and followed up with a cracker or two.
By the way, that's not cooked!
You can win money, play looky-looky and make your buddies sick enough so you can eat their desertr at the cabin!!
By the way,, I do have to admit, it's an acquired taste.
I recommend smaller egg sacs to begin with, unless you don't have a problem with a mouthful of 'em the first time.
After about 6 years of this B.S., I really enjly a few now and then!
Love this site!
