A lot of you guys seem to love the cheap stuff.

On that note, I'll occasionally pick up a six pack of the Mountain Brew from Stewarts. Its pretty terrible, but at $2.99 for a six pack, its relatively tasty. and if you don't need all sic cans, they sell for 75 cents apiece.

beerfish,

Dobler Beer was brewed in Albany and  cost one dollar for 3 quarts back in the mid 60's when I was a romping stomping dumb as a bag of rocks  teen in the Catskills.Gas was about 30 cents a gallon,so with a buck a piece from four kids running around in an 55 Chevy on a Sat night it was living the good life.....or so thats how I remember it ;D.

Yup. I sometimes buy something extra, but I usually keep Budweiser stocked in my truck at all times. (Even if I'm not fishing, I keep it on hand for emergencies.)

i love beer while fishing(budwiser)or anytime but i usually dont drink much unless im on conesus... since i live within stumbling distance. no one can afford a dwi, i have been fortunate to have never had one, luckily i fish with a few guys who dont drink and i ride with them when i decide to drink. this weekend at the conesus derby i bet the wife will have to pick me up... >:D

You don't need a cooler for your beer  ;D   - you are already fishing inside of a cooler -

I recall fishing Bradley Brook a number of years ago Sunny but windy, about 10 degrees out. Worked the area hunting for a bite to no success and finally set up the little dome tend my wife had just got me for Christmas. Tried to get the lantern to light to no success (figured out later it was to darn cold to get it to light).

A couple minutes later I had a bomb blow up under my legs. I thought it was the lantern for a couple of seconds, then realized it was a can of coke I brought with me. Had two cans of coke a cola still in the plastic rings to make them easier to carry. They were right in front of the bucket I was sitting on and right under me.

That made for a bit of a sticky mess to clean up later on.

No fish that day, but a good memory from a day on the ice.

PM me to swap information on fishing holes or to go fish'in sometime in the Syracuse Central NY area (Onondaga and Madison county water holes in particular).

You need the cooler to keep it from freezing!  ;)

When I caught my first fish of the year this year, I went for my "victory beer" but all I had was "victory frozen can".  :'(
