yeah thats how its been since it became fishable, only reports of 1 or two guys here and there maybe gettin one or two fish.  Its certainly not at all productive yet by any means. lets hope the ice stays alright through todays crazy weather.

no walleye flags. tipups are usually for the pike, might get a walleye if there is a real good feed, but the tipups lack the presentation.

Maybe you should look at our weather forcast, perhaps you will change your mind. 40's and  very rainy friday saturday and sunday around here, and I dont know about you but I wouldnt want to be out THERE in those conditions.  The bite has been off for quite some time not worth going in predicted conditions, your better off looking around towards chaumont bay for perch or say black river bay for walleye, word is the bite has been on around there.  good luck !

along the north shore of the bay, might be a good location, as they move up to spawn in the marsh and river

The FAT LADY IS SINGING  TONIGHT.
ATV in the water at Mud Creek just past PIER 2.
Big Pressure cracks in the bay and the ice is soft.Maybe 4 inches of black ice and 6-8 of snow ice.
Looks like they got to shore ok,the light on the atv was still on.
It's about 4 ft deep where it broke through.

PLEASE BECAREFUL .

ATV is out.  Lucky it was only in 2 feet of water.   Wind and rain are betting up the Ice today.

Save your gas.  The ice at Mud Bay is shot (if it's even still there after the past 2 days worth of hurricane winds, warm weather and rain).

Next year.

as of friday it was breaking up and there were big cracks. so i would say it is shot. would need a week of cold temps to maybe make it fishable again if the ice is still there. but after fishing friday night and going out with no cracks and coming in and crossing 3 that were progressively getting larger and the ice was soft, all before yesterdays weather. better get out the boats... season closes next week, i would fish were you know for sure it is safe.
