And at $30+ bucks a whack, he was upset that they became so 'ghetto' so quickly.

A few guys posted similar thoughts (and described some horrible customer service) and it seemed like half of Maine screamed out in self-defense as though the critics had just shot a Loon or crapped on Mount Katahdin.

Back once more, I remember that thread foolishly got involved in the debate. I think there is a thread in the general forum currently about someone not getting their emails /phonecalls returned. I do not want to talk trash about Jack Traps since I have never used one.

its deffinitly cool to see the baldy's, there a spot on lakegeorge that we used to see a pair of eagles, we'd always throw some bait to them

I live in NY...love Maine..have more family up there than down here....but I would rather live in the ADK's. Maine has one of if not the largest self sustaining brook trout population in the U.S...something to be proud of :flex:

The guys that have actually been here for a few years know that I'm the last dude on the ice to waste a fish. They also know that I've slayed my share of lakers and pike. My chill time is spent on IS. I don't watch TV. So yeah, I've racked up a few posts the last couple years. It's not a competition, It's just what I like to do. How boring would this site be if all the users posted 10 times a year?

howdy yo, I'm looking forward to this ice season, maybe, LOL.
Got to scout new waters around closer to my new place.

One, should I say many, can hope we are on the hard stuff 1-2 weeks before Christmas. 8)

Yep! Daktari's African Safari, or something like that. Got tagged with that nickname back in 1997 by one of the Aubudon Fishing Club guys and it stuck.... To this day..... Just a different spelling....

Great show.... Precursor to Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlon Perkins.... Or Marty Stouffer's Wild America, you pick it...

Thanks for remembering that show.... Loved that lion. Had a stuffed lion as a kid whose eyes I "rearranged" to make it look more like Clarence.... hahahaha......
