Thanks alot guys for the get well wishes,  feelin much better now  ;D

This weather was brutal today but we had to get out and do some fishing no matter what, Extreme Icefishing.....

We tied the shanty's off to the quad but even the quad succumbed to the winds and moved 7 feet down the ice sideways, it was unreal.........we were in our traps and kept getting blown off the holes and lifting the shanty's right off the ground with us in them!!!

There's nothing better than fish that are flash frozen as soon as they hit the ice  ;)

Every shanty that was on the lake was blown over and had windows broken, this year has been crazy!

Going out early again tomorrow, hopefully the winds will die down

the wind is brutal, glad your all safe.
I was looking at the weather across the US and there is another nasty wind storm coming that is in the mid-west right now, hope that it dies down.
Nice frozen gils.  ;D

Good day eh Oz?....I was out with fishingking and bussman today and we got tossed around as well but nothing like u said with moving quads...shanty got lifted a couple times....seems you guys landed on some fish better than we did...though we did catch 5-6" perch in 80+ FOW...never thought that would happen....NY EXTREME :flex: ...thats a helluva snow drift in the background there with dr J... ;)

Great report!!

Got out with Robb, Mike, Iceenut and Wellsey for some laker action on the King yesterday. Great time, the ice was still about 6.5 inches.

Here's a scenery pic

When there's thin ice you just have to adapt, thats just what Iceenut and Wellsey did bringing out these peewee sleds that were about 4 ft long  ;D

Robb caught many fish including a nice salmon, everytime I looked over his pole was bent in half, he caught about 10 -12 fish and I was the gaff man ( bare hands)
I hope he appreciates that cause my hands are all dried up and cracking today  :)

And here is the reward, nice fish!

Here's Robbs friend Mike playing one in

And another nice fish

Here I am with a nice 29 incher

Hey who's that guy over there with his rod bent again? ;D looks like I got to get my hands wet again, lol

Here's the in the hole cam, I'm ready to grab him!

Well it was a great time and everyone caught fish, hope the weather holds out for us for atleast one more weekend on the King!
Going out now for some afternoon gills and maybe a big pike on a bluegill jig!  ;) lol

Hey Ozzy, you are the best Gaff man ever!! I'll return the favor this spring and summer in the new fishing in boat with the net!!! Those trout loved me yesterday, except for the wind it was awesome! And what a great salmon, that was my best on the hard water!

Nice hogs guys, wish I could have made it up there that day. Robb sure is hot these days.
I was down south on the softwater hitting 5lb largemouths with the kids. I'm back now and will be getting out this weekend to the hard water for some late laker action.

Made it out again last weekend for some rainbows but didnt hook up with any, caught some pickerel and perch and smallmouths.

Here's a pic of iceenut0's son with a nice smallmouth that he caught...nice job Jacob!!

The kid was a pro at catching fish on a tip-up, took his time and made sure the fish was there and then gave him the steel! Its great to see kids catching fish, reminds me of the fun I had when I was that small  ;D

See you guys on this weekend for some more laker action

Oh yeah, he's a chip off the old block alright!!I have to be careful with this one because he has out-fished me on an occasion or two   ;) ,and I think he might have the "sickness" worse than I did, when I was his age. Thanks again Shawn, you made his day!!Maybe this weekend we can get him his first laker.

No problem Mike,

I'm sure we can definately get him his first laker, it would be nice if it was while jigging!

See you on the weekend
