Online Maps / Charts for Saskatchewan Lakes
« on: Nov 17, 2022, 09:07 AM »
Do any of you guys use online mapping for your lakes? I've tried a couple paid apps but they all seem very inaccurate for our lakes here in Sask. I've tried iBoating and Navionics. The idea of using your phones GPS on the lake is pretty cool, but not when it tells me I'm in 5ft but I'm really in 50.

Are there any maps that actually have updated charts for sask?

Pretty sure theres only like 1 or 2 lakes in saskatchewan that have been commercially mapped for finders. Boundary dam is one of them. Other than that they all just use old govt survey maps for base mapping which ranges from not great to terrible.

Only option for accurate maps is community mapping which is spotty. Try active captain (garmin) or c-map genesis (lowrance). Not sure if humminbird community maps are free.
