Lake Tobin
« on: Mar 09, 2022, 08:27 PM »
Well we are a go for Lake Tobin. If anyone has any suggestion's or intel they don't mind sharing that would be cool. Plan is Pike and maybe chase a walleye.  Does anyone know of a lake that is close to Tobin that we could find a big lake trout at?

I haven’t been there this year but I’ve heard from friends that the flood water situation is very bad in some areas on the lake. Lots of snow on top of lots of water that’s on top of the ice.

Stick to the plowed trails and you’ll be fine but venturing out off trail is a risky decision this year. You might be ok or you might get into some trouble.

Not to scare you at all, just a heads up to come well prepared for bad conditions in areas of the lake…

Closest bet for big lakers would be clearwater in manitoba which isn't really all that close.

Where’s a good place to drive on and fish for big pike ? I’m guessing there’s lots of snow on the ice and it’s tough to get around?
