most burbot caught in a day?

the most i have kept track of is 25 in one night (4 hours, biggest 14.5#), but i lost a bunch that night too.  I haven't kept track in the summer, but i'm sure I have come close to or beat that number.  I would get tired of digging the hooks out of their bellies though.

i only jig for burbs. I dont bother with set lines because of them swallowing the hooks. I think about 15 to twenty for myself and my dad had about the same maybee more over a 12 hour period on the ice.

Thats not counting the rainbows and lakers we cought as well.

Between my cousin and I have caught 58 in 16 hrs but the lake we fish if their on the spawn we catch just as many during the day. Closet we've come to that is 35 Last weekend my son-inlaw and I got 20 the biggest being 8 lbs. GLOW JIGS all the way for us and big shiners.

what lake were you fishing at?!!! that sounds like a great lake with rainbows, lake trout and burbot.  and how big were they?

23 between me and my brother in 7 hours of fishing. was the best day i have had on the ice so far.

Between a buddy of mine and I last year, we caught approximately 60-80.  Non-stop flags from 5 at night til 2 in the morning.  Let most of them go as they were small, but came home with more then enought for the chowder pot.

High 30's (I lost track) in just over 4 hours. I couldn't bounce my jig more than twice and another one was on. That was 5 years ago but have not caught anywhere near that number since.

last season between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm 3 of us had 13 burbot on the ice and we were still catching not to menchin all the ones that got away on us

I just had my best day yesterday.  Caught 30 burbs!  Could have stayed until late and caught more but I was tired and enough was enough.  That kind of numbers makes for a busy, busy day.  My hands never stayed dry.  Kept 2 out of the 30.  Here is a pic of the biggest:
