hardwater Rick:
what does everyone do with there old line, hate to just throw it in the trash. how bout just burning it up.. any good ideas

depthchargedriller:
hey i think that anything is good for burning lol ;D. i dont really have any kind of fishing line that is old becuase just hte thought of it laying around with all my other stuff. its bad enough i have to dig now just to find something. but if i did have any i would use it for hangin stuff up like well things that hang.

Hard_H2O:
Some sporting goods stores have recycling bins for your old line.

I respool once or twice a year and I just throw it in the trash.

Is there a problem with trashing it? Why do you hate to throw it in the trash?

ahhhhh just thinkin about animals and birds that may get into it at the dump I guess who knows,, usually I just throw it in the trash,, but I am doing all my reels now, and its alot of line. 500 to 600 miles   LOL

rgfixit:
I am a firm believer in supporting the fishing line manufacturers...I respool often...I fish a lot....Just wad up the line and cut it into small sections. I have a motorized spooler I made and can remove the used line from a stripping spool so it's easy to take the scizzors and cut it in a couple of places.
