Has anybody tried this lure combination?
« on: Feb 14, 2006, 07:32 AM »
Lately for perch I've had lots of luck using a Hali jig on end of my line and
approx 15" to 18" up I tie on a size 14 cream glow gentz worm with a 2"
dropper loop. I have been tiping them with mousies or wax worms. Try it
and post your results.

I use a similar rig for perch   I use a buckshot spoon on the bottom and about 12" up the line i tie a loop and use a live shiner usually on a plain gold hook. Works great

How do you keep the dropper from twisting?  I'd try it otherwise but they've just given me headaches in the past.

Rockfish,

Look under  www.netknots.com.  go to fishing knots  and then dropper loop.

The dropper loop doesn't twist much, I'm sure it would be ok for you. A helpfull hint - if the
double loop will not go into your jig or hook , clip one side and put just a single strand thru
the hook eye, the way the dropper loop is tied it will not weaken it at all. Clip all tag ends
and you are ready to go.  Hope this helps you.
