Save up your money these rods are well worth the money. I have felt a huge difference in these rods compared to the rods I used to use. I have 6 thorne bros rods and wouldnt trade them for anything. I bought 3 of them off craigslist for $30 a piece so you dont have to spend the big money to find a good rod.
I fish therfore I am

Was my first time at the actual store, pretty impressive place, lots of mounts and all the tackle you can shake a stick at.

Got my Perch Sweetheart 20+ years ago-- lotta fish on it. Crisp, stout action; perfect  for small spoons, halis & chubby darters. Paid around $50-- worth it back then too!

I dove in to my first custom rod with the perch sweetheat about 3 yrs ago. Long story short i know build rods and that perch swetheart is much more of a walleye rod than a perch unless the perch bite is really on and ur fishing bigger spoons. After getting into rod building i have yet to figure out why perch rods are almost always considered a med light and crappie rods are a light. Realize it depends on presention but for some reason the thorne bros perch rod is way heavy imo unless they are slamming spoons. Have fished perch many times when they want a much smaller presentation and a lighter rod is much more efficient. Quiverstick is much better imo. I would rather have too light of a rod than too heavy. Just my 2 cents

My main two walleye jigging sticks are TB perch sweetheart rods. Perfect for my preferred lure sizes and average size of fish.
