For the first time in a while I don't plan on making any large purchases. Last year I bought a 2nd finder (Humminbird ICE 35, love it; my other is an older showdown that still works great) and the year before a new shanty (Frabil, last suitcase style I could find. I really like having a floor). I have a really good hand auger (6 inch lazer) so no need for a power one.

Though I could use a few more rods and more jigs.....hmmmm...haha.

They are, the squirrels, working really hard to survive the coming bad winter with below normal temps and the coming hard winds from the North. We should all buy extensions for our ice augers and upgrade our heaters. Somehow I am hoping my ice fishing skills will see me through coming onset of global cooling that will usher us into the next ice age.

I was thinking of a trip to Boise Saturday but if they don't have stuff out yet I could wait another week.

We have snow on the ground in boundary county this morning so that will help cool off the water temps, now all we need it a good cold snap. tight lines everyone ;)
