MO yeah that was me, a nice young man you have there.  I could not agree more my son and I had a blast.
We should all hook up this spring/summer/fall, and have an ice shanty fishing get together.

Unless by some unexpected miracle we get another 5-6 day cold snap my season is over.  This weekend is already tied up with basement preparations for waterproofing all next week.  It was a pleasure meeting so many IS members on Arthur/Moraine this season.  I must say in the past 5 years I have met more IS folks this year than all the others combined.

For those that are going out this weekend please use caution.  I trust Snapper's reports, so we'll have to see what he finds when he checks the lake later tonight.  Anyway, stay on top, stay warm, and catch good numbers if you are able to enjoy what may be the last weekend of this year's season.

I just found out about this site this winter, lot of good info and stuff on here.   I only got out on the ice a few times this year, which kind of sucks, didn't get to meet anybody.  :( Just too many things to do and not enough time.  When I'm out of school and back home over the summer I'll be down at the lake a lot for stripers, cats, and everything else.   That reminds me, got to renew my cast net permit.  ;D

Rain...rain go away. ALL I wanna do is fish ONE more day.   Hope the ice holds up. Bait shop on 422 near 528 has med.shinners and minnows and waxworms. Opens at 7am. Kinda hard finding shiners of any kind. Thought this might help some.   Gonna hit em high and goin hit em low tommorrow. This maybe the last weekend so I better do something....LOL   Good luck to the guys going out this weekend,    Be safe!!!

Well guys looks like this maybe the last weekend. Of course I'm getting a late start today. Alarm went off and the mind said..Lets go. But the body said..You crazy..LOL  Drinking coffee..watchin the news and getting ready to load up the good Ole fishin wagon for one last outing. Keep hoping the weather forecaster changes his forecast...maybe thats why I keep watch the TV...LOL  But if this is my last trip on the ice I can't complain. Didn't limit out on my trips but had a good time tryin. So upon returning for the trip I will post conditions and results. For anyone else going out today or tommorrow...GOOD LUCK and Stay safe!!!

If anyone has been around the lake, how long does it look before we can put a boat on it?

Winchester 88
Has the rain a father?
Or who has begotten the drops of dew?
From whose womb comes the ice?
And the frost from heaven, who gives it birth?
By the breath of God ice is given and the broad waters are frozen.
The waters harden like stone and the surface of the deep is frozen.

The book of Job.

Guys, stay off the ice! My brother went through last night at the cabins area by the bell and almost didn't make it out. All his fingernails are gone and the tips of his fingers are bloody and raw. There was 8" of ice. He is very lucky. The ice is not safe or uniform! See ya next year
