8 degrees away from making ice i noticed when i got home last night. Started wrenching on the sleds last weekend. Figure it's time to start getting serious

I can't wait for ice!!! It's killing me. I'm not religious by any means but I am praying we do the have to wait as long as last season.

Gord from Pickering is back. Mostly ice fish Frenchmans Bay ,Lake Scugog, and Simcoe. Hope to get out on the deep water Whitefish grounds this year, as I was unable to get out to Simcoe in the short, hard water season, we had around the GTA last season. Good Luck to all!

Hi, I'm new here. Geared up for ice fishing last year, which was a bit disappointing! Only got out once when we drove from London up to North Bay. Hoping for a colder season this year, and many quality days on hard water

Fish Orangeville alot its 20 min away , Simcoe when I can deep water, Wanna try lake St John this year perhaps down Nigara way as well this looks loke its going to be a very cold and thick Ice year. Glad I have the gas auger now.. Good Luck all stay safe and have a Merry Christmas.. And fishing by New Years kinda time..

I'm trying to organize a ice fishing trip to Temagami,
we want to go up on a Friday morning and head home Sunday afternoon .
does anyone have any recommendations?
The outfitter we want to use is not operating this year due to health issues.

Hey Woodsman , are you going to a ice fishing hut rental or a do it your self thing ?
Reason i ask is i would like to book a trip to Temagami,
I tried last year but the outfitter shut down due to health reasons.
Looking for first hand reports of great outfitters
