Heading up to lake Preston area on the 31st of January. What are the ice conditions like?  Also anyone having luck on perch or walleye in that area? Thanks in advance.

Was just there Thur thru sat. We found 15-18” of ice, drove pick up out on Schaffer’s. Bit was tough to non existent due to cold front and 50mph winds on Friday and sat. Access points had drifted shut on Friday. Good luck

Mud/soft bottom during the day for perch & occasional walleye.  Timber, old shoreline breaks, & rubble/sand inside turns for eyes at prime time.  Don't get too hung up trying to chase hot bites.
