comb amazon from time to time and you'll find baffin, kamik, sorels, guide gear, etc. ice boots on sale for big savings.
https://www.amazon.com/Kamik-Alborg-Weather-Gaucho-Brown/dp/B00284AH5Y these are decent for the price. Baffins were 60% off at one point a few months ago

I feel bad for guys trying to shop for boots now when I couldn’t give them away in July. :-\  On that same note, now is the time to buy waders and life vests.  Steals everywhere.

I got the Baffin Apex. They are big and bulky but keep my feet warm. I can get by with the Baffin Hunter when fishing from the truck or shack.
It must be something in the water.

Just bought a pair of Baffin Control Max.
Old Sorels sprung a leak towards the end of ice season last year.
Good luck trying to find boots then.
Everyone was sold out of good boots.
Patched the Sorels and they lasted till this fall when they developed another crack(leak)

Hey now, I bought a pair of Baffin Lightning boots back in the summer because of you.  I think they were around $115, now they are $200.
Post us some wader deals, I could use a good pair!!

I have a 25 year old pair of La Crosse Icemans. They are as warm as they were the day i bought them. I’d milk cows with them and some will know that constantly subjecting footwear to cow manure, getting stepped on by cows, etc. means that they won’t last long. These have really held up. I wear them on the ice when I can drive out. When I walk I throw on my pair of Neos. Much, much lighter than the La Crosse boots and plenty warm.

Cabelas Trans Alaska boots are a winner for me. I noticed some of the mushers in the Iditarod wear them as well.
I’m interested in these boots , do they fit small or big ? I have to order on line and was wondering the sizing !

I've looked at Baffin Titans, solid boot for sure.

I've worn better then past four years and worn daily for work and fishing. Super light weight, super dry and super warm. Everyone I know have switched over. Trick is to wear light sock to let feet and liner breath. Don't actually need socks they're that warm.

I wear the black Mickey boots.
Can buy them new for $40 locally.
I don't have cold or sweaty feet issues.
I had some of the white ones(bunny boots) and they are warmer but about $100 locally new.
Mine were used my dad bought for $2 at a garage sale and they lasted me over 8 years before getting cracks.
Not good for long hikes though.
But in the extreme cold nothing beats a pair of bunny boots.

I really considered these before buying the Bogs but wasn't sure about them being waterproof beyond the rubber. What say you ?

Muck arctic pros are pretty good boots.they are waterproof all the way up and warm.i wore mickeys forever which i still would wear if the arthritis in my hip was gone.muck arctic pros are lighter and i like the no laces on them but my old mickeys are the warmer  boot and my feet have never been cold in them.

I've been looking at a fairly new company:  DryShod

Some guys broke away from Muck boots and started this company. They have a nice selection of boots similar to Muck's, and looks like they have a new ice boot. I need to find a dealer to see first hand what they're like.

I like NAT's and have quite a few buddies that have switched too, but I'd caution against ordering online as I find they fit super small.  I normally wear a sz10 and had to go up to a 13 in NAT's.

For those unfamiliar, they are made with EVA foam, which is basically rubber with air infused into it.  Since air is a good insulator and it doesn't weigh anything you get a much lighter boot that is also warmer - win, win.

I picked up the Muck Arctic Pros last year and they are like wearing a pair of slippers on the ice
