For me its been both this year. Don't want to show either of the gods favoritism. I missed (some) Playoffs for fish. How about everyone else?

Once the Bears were out I had lost interest. Ice fishing.

I'm still debating whether I want to fish or watch the game......... I dislike the Patriots and Giants both, considering they already played a super bowl vs each other 4 or so years ago. I don't like rematches. The national championship game was a joke and I hope the super bowl doesn't turn out the same.

My football season ends in November with the Grey Cup. Riders!!

this is gonna be the first year in 8 that ill be watching the football game due to crappy ice around here.then again i might get in the boat for some steelies.

Ice fishing in the morning as the trout bite shuts completely off after 12 then watching the game unfortunately the packers didnt show up against the giants or it would be a different story

I'm fishing instead of watching the super bowl! My Packers are out of it. However we are having a Packers Super Bowl Party at the bar on Saturday Feb. 4! You heard me right Packers Super Bowl Party!!

I will still watch, plan to fish in the morning though.
I hate both teams because their cities win titles all the time. Think of being from Boston.. 3 Super Bowls, 2 World Series (i think), 1 NBA title and 1 Stanley cup...all in the last 10 years. You spoiled rotten brats!! (That's envy talking)
New York is bad, but not quite as bad. Got the Super Bowls and world series recently but no Cup or NBA title in a while.
Try being in Minnesota. Just starving for a winne...uh, i mean a competitor!

Ouch!! I feel eriksat1's pain and loss of intrest. It hurts bad when the Lions future looks brighter than the Bears. It must not be easy being cheesy this year either. What a tuff break after a stellar year. I'm pretty much anti-east coast footbal so this game only counts for the squares I have and hopefully a shoot out.

Ice fishing if we had ice but we don't so I guess I'll do anything buuuuut watch a bunch of overpaid prima donna's play football. I'm not a fan of pro sports, the big money made the fun go out of the game. Besides I hate the commercials and dispise the halftime shows.

Mn Vikes fan here. Haven't lost any fishing time due to the need to watch them, that's for sure!!!Now lack of ice is another story entirely.

Ha, ha. I will be ice fishing, till 3pm, on Sunday. Local one day ice fishing tournament, then will head home, to watch the Superbowl. Even, though, my team, the Green Bay Packers, screwed up again!! I will be cheering for the New England Patriots! I love to live! Till, its my time to go! Ha, ha. ;D

Yea it was over when Cutler got hurt. I'll go ice fishing but probably be home to watch the game before half time. I really don't care who wins. I would have liked to see the 9'ers in it. I like hockey also, damn the Blackhawks got spanked last night by the oil.

I could not care less about watching any game, even watching fishing is boring... I like to play games, but I rather have a root canal than have to sit throw a whole game... I am happy for all those that enjoy it, I have never understood how any one could, but to each his own.

Not at all, it's just that my Dad was an NFL referee way back when and I got my fill of football as a kid. I went to every NFL city in the country before they went wild with expansion teams. He referee'd Superbowl XXI, some of you guys probably remember one of the teams in that game I would imagine. ;D

Has anyone figured out how to clean and fillet a football or,better yet cook and eat one? Looks like I'll be plowing snow making some dough from the snow gods! ;D Then just maybe, it will be walking the plank time one more time ye scurvy dogs! :o

I thought I wanted to watch the game but this year they crossed the line with commercialism. Now no radio stations and even some media websites can even call it the superbowl. They have to call it the "Big Game" or something stupid like that. I guess when I'm told I can't call it what it is then I guess it can't be that interesting to me to support that kind of a business. I liked it better when the emphasis was on the sport, like icefishing is to me!

Epic day for me yesterday. Chased flags all morning. Had doubles 3 different times. Got home early enough to relax before the game. Got to watch my favorite team beat the pats again and managed to win 3 out of 4 quarters in the office pool. Life doesn't get much better than that.

i chose to fish. went out to a lake that is usually covered with people fishin on sundays. i could count all the guys there on one hand. you could tell that they were all home watchin the game. made it home in time to watch it anyway ;D so as for your question... for me its both!
