I have quite a decent sized box full of Maki plastics. Use them on blue gills and crappie mostly, never had crazy success with perch.  I like them as another option to live bait.

I want to throw it out there that it totally makes all the difference how you rig your plastic.... With the trigger X minnows I like to set them up so that when I drop my jig down the plastic sits horizontal... and level too.  With just a light jig on the rod the tail of the plastic wiggles and makes it look like a small bait fish... try to make sure every time you drop it it looks the same as well.. Idk just some things that work well for me that I don't mind sharing

I had some great success with Lake Erie's jumbo perch last year season using maki plastic.  I use them for everything.  I have almost every plastic that makiplastic makes, in just about every color.  My go to's are the jamei and maki in red and white.  In case you are unaware, there are more options than what is offered by Clam Pro Tackle.  There is a full website for maki.

I now make my own.  I use extra soft plastisol.  And they move a lot better than store bought .
However I did use last year when they came out.  I thought they were pricey   So I invested in a aluminum 2 pcs mold

Custom Jigs and Spins, Atom, Trigger X, Powerbait. Never tried Maki. Sure they work fine.
Don't fall in. Unless it's a big one.

I've been expanding my plastics assortment over the last few years.  I prefer translucent/clear plastics over solid colors, especially on bluegills and tend to use them on micro presentations.

J&S Custom Jigs/Plastics  - Ice Mite Jr. has been good.
Microspoon and Jigs -  Domination Fry are fantastic but hard to get in a timely fashion.  My last order was a several month wait.
Little Atom -  Wedgies have their place

I really like glow plastics partnered with a glow tungsten jig for night time crappies.  Experiment with plastics too by rigging them backwards or alter them to change the action.

i'm stating to use more plastics in my bag ''o'' tricks over live bait, don't get me wrong somedays that all they want to hit on, i like berkley line of stuff and i'v messed with the little atom plastics. I got some of the maki jamei to try this year, see what happens.
it's all fun and games till somebody looses a walleye!!

Those worm binders for summer bass plastics have work good for storage. I keep mine in the little bags and put em into a Plano clear box. You'll expand lol

I was planning on that I would expand. Just wondering what others used. I was thinking plano but want something small enough to fit in a pocket.
