Jack smelt you can by them at pet stores that sell fish.  Usually they Re in a back tank near the feeder gold fish.   Go in looking for rosy reds,  I remember wal mart had them as well as petco and petsmart
  problem is those places are min. 3 hrs away from here! and i don't think they're legal to use as bait due to disease transfer. wouldn't want to take a chance until a bio. gives me the ok.

I'm pretty sure copper sulfate, in the amounts needed to dye fish would be lethal noatter how quick you dipped them

I used to use it for 1 min dip treatments, they come out a little yellow afterwards.
