Hey your Tipup's UP

What do you yell at your buddies to let them know their tipup is up?  Or do you just take matters into your own hands and take care of their fish for them?

With a lot of my friends, we actually rotate the flag catching. We share the duty and start in alphabetical order.   Otherwise when fishing our own,  just yelling    Flag!!!! usually work.

well it depends. if my budy was the only one catching all the fish all day and he wasnt paying attention i would run to it, if we were about equal i would probably start running to it while yelling TIP UP!!! If its somone i dont know i usually give them a couple seconds to realize it. if they arnt paying attention at all then i normally yell tip up to them or just make a noise to get them to look up

 When we were seriously ice fishing (not a lot of beer around) we just yell flag and start running!  Otherwise anything goes!

If no one else sees it,,,,its just me running with a maniacal laugh......otherwise  a quick 'hey' or whistle and a point usually gets the attention of whoevers 'next'.

Me and my dad always try to get the other to jump by yelling flag when there is none just to make the other look like an idiot course it gets yoou into trouble when there is one and you dont look

that is all we do.  About 30% of the time someone ends up on the ice looking at the sky.

I usually don't yell anything because most of my buddies say it's too cold, or they have to work, or I don't invite them because the fishing is too good

 What ever comes out at the time...usually " hit" or "flag" ...or if its one just re-baited for about the fifth tuime or one that is far away a few other words come out

we gotta figure out a way to run the line out another hole so you would be able to fight him from inside a tent while watching him through the window.  make him think he's got a real lunker on.  you could maybe do it with an extra long gaff or something
