I have an older drill but a new 20V battery.  I may get that E drill with the neat handle & connection to drill.    Or go with Kdrill.  IDK

:nono: :nono: :nono: Under powered under torqued drills will epically fail eventually

These are the drills most commonly used for the job ...sure there are some folks that use some one off drill/battery combos ..you may be able to drill several holes ...let it cool down ..drill some more ..but these drills get the job done right the first time .One and done . You will save money in the long run

Thanks!!  Those are the answers I've been looking for.   I think it best just to get battery auger.   I'll probably burn up my drill, even though I don't drill many holes.   I think I'll get the Trophy Strike for $300....120V 8"

Not sure about Trophy Strike ..think they are or will be defunct soon . As far as cordless drill set ups they are just fine with the right drill and batteries ..and if you dont drill many holes ..even more so .

I have my Lowrance with GPS from my boat mounted on my 4 wheeler.  So I can find my spots and usually  only drill 6 to 10 holes.   Maybe with new auger I'll drill more and hole hop.  Dirty ice is an issue.  I may just pick up the Kdrill for that main reason.

Yikes. So by noon I'll have 3 holes drilled? I use a slightly modded Clam plate and without the drive adapter. Much faster. I would assume this will save a guys drill some wear and tear but looking at the way they have snow packed into the venting slots they aren't too worried about moisture. Looks like he only cut about 10-12" of ice as well.

With my 7" Nero and Clam Plate with the Milwaukee I could have drill 4 or 5 holes to that one. 14" of ice is less than 4 seconds.

But for anglers with a SheShanty crafting drill this could be an option ..if you already have a not so torquie drill and batteries ...hand auger...and $139 bucks this could get you in the game ..or 10" auger and not so torquie drill ...and/or a wheelhouse ..less chips-be-flying .

Jeezum, that is some molasses in January speed. I think the average joe could outcut that thing 3:1 with a hand auger.  :o
