took my daughter out for her first trip on the ice at lake elmo. she had a blast and I was also able to find some decent perch for the small lake

tied up some jig flies to copy the vmc ice fly. did chartreuse and red for now. These should tempt some nice trout and panfish. tied on a size 12 jig hook

I will find out this weekend but I have had great luck on rainbows on a brown body with a light brown hackle tipped with a meal worm. I have high hopes for these though

I copied the vmc ice fly cause it worked well for me but the quality was poor. So I decided to tie my own that should be more durable

A few from the season so far...

The fish have a tougher time seeing you if you wear camo...

a meal of trout nuggets, potato pankaes, applesauce, slaw, and homemade tartar,... throw is some French bread and you have yourself a real nice "struggle plate"
